(Emma Gould) - What I Think About the Main Character

The main character in my book is Ponyboy. Ponyboy is apart of the greasers and he is only in his teen years.  Ponyboy is the kind of kid who likes to watch movies and read books. Greasers don't usually have that kind of hobby. So I guess you could say that Ponyboy isn't a normal greaser. Ponyboy smokes cigarettes because he says that it calms him down. Since Ponyboy is a greaser, he gets in a lot of fights. Fights aren't really his favorite. Ponyboy gets beat up a lot by the socs. I guess that this kind of information on him tells me that he is a smart and intelligent boy.

I do not dislike Ponyboy because he stands up for he thinks is right or wrong and he isn't afraid to say what is on his mind. If he gets in a fight with a soc then he tells his brothers if they ask him why he is so beat up. He is smart and he doesn't care that he different from any other person in his group. He doesn't care that nobody else in his group don't read or watch movies. He is just proud to be him and he doesn't care if anyone makes fun of him for being himself.
