I think Ponyboy is shy and doesn't talk that much. When he went to see a movie with his friends they met these girls and he was quiet and didn't say much to them at first. I think he also gets scared easily and doesn't do anything when he gets scared. Like in the very beginning he didn't do anything when the Socs were being mean to him.
I've noticed he really likes his hair and where he's from, he's proud to be a greaser. He really likes his brother Sodapop, but doesn't really like his brother Dally. Ponyboy is really smart and goes to school, unlike his brother who dropped out. I think Darry cares about Ponyboy, if he doesn't get a good education and doesn't live a good life or if he gets an education and is living okay for a greaser.
I think the main character is alright, I don't like or dislike him yet. I think he has some good qualities and some bad qualities. I think the fact that he can't stand up for himself is a bad thing, but I think he has a good group of friends to watch over him and so I think that is a good thing.
