My group talked about Ponyboy and the greasers. Ponyboy deserved everything that he got. Whenever Bob died, he deserved what he had gotten because he wanted to kill everybody that was rude to him or didn't like him. Cherry liked Bob a whole lot, even though he tried to drown Ponyboy, and she said that Bob wasn't just anyone and if anyone would have known him like she did that they would know that he wasn't all big and bad.
When Johnny died he told Ponyboy to stay golden. This meant that Ponyboy should always be as good and brave as he has always been. In the book Darry was mean to Ponyboy because he didn't want Ponyboy to end up like him. If you put yourself in Johnny's shoes you would know that he had protected Pony at every cost and didn't back down and loved every bit of the gang.
At the house Dally protected Johnny and Pony because the cops/fuzz were looking for them. Johnny and Pony saved a lot of little kids from a burning church because they are the ones who had started the fire with the cigarettes that they had smoked.
I totally agree that Bob got what he deserves. He was rude to a lot of people
ReplyDeleteI also agree with you that Bob did get what he deserved. I like how you put what you think "Stay golden" meant and I think you explained what stay golden meant perfectly.
