S. E. Hinton is my author and she was born July 22, 1948 and her first book was the outsiders published in 1967 by Viking. She went to Will Rogers High School at 17. She loved reading but wasn't satisfied so she started on he own book.
S. E. Hinton has also written Rumble Fish, Tex, and The Puppy sister and more. Her first book was The Outsiders and her most recent book was Some of Tim's Stories.
think that she wrote the outsiders because in the 1950-60 there were a lot of fights over little things and gang fights over differences, so she wrote about a gang that were greasers (low-middle class) that fight the Socs (the higher class)because of their differences and who is better.
I liked how you talked about the schools she went to and how old she was whenever she went there. I liked your description on why she wrote her first book The Outsiders. I liked how you said that she wasn't satisfied with the books that she was reading so that is why she wrote her own. I also liked how you mentioned some of her other books she has written. Good Job.
