Gwen .N problem in story

The conflict is Man v.s. man and man v.s. society
 Man v.s. Man is the greasers and the socs. They are two different groups one is in the lower class and one is in the higher class. But they are fighting or not getting along because of the class they are in. The main characters are the greasers and the main conflict with them is that they are not being fought fairly because the socs think they are better because they have more money.

So far there has been one big conflict were the socs beat up pony boy and nearly killed him.
I do not think that the character will solve the conflict without causing more harm. Because that is the whole thing they harm each other the greasers will do something then the socs will do something, that is just how it works. I do not even think that the problem will be solved unless the greasers move up in the social class and get more money, nicer things, and change. And I don't think that is going to happen.
